I used to think I was healthy because I wasn't sick.

Wild, right? I'm a certified holistic nutritionist. I know better. I was treating my health like most entrepreneurs do. As long as nothing was broken, I kept pushing.

No time for the doctor. No time for real workouts. Just enough to not fall apart.

Then I started noticing something. The most successful people I know don't treat health like maintenance. They treat it like an investment.

Different doctors. Different routines. Different approach entirely.

That's why I brought Theo Jones on the podcast. I wanted to understand how people with money think about health. How they move differently. What they're paying for that most of us don't even know exists.

He broke it all down. And it changed how I think about everything.

Here's the recap:

Built Different Podcast: How the Rich Do Health: Building Concierge Healthcare in Baltimore with Theo Jones

In this episode, I sit down with Theo Jones—nurse practitioner, founder of Weekend White Coat Concierge, and one of the realest people I've talked to about health—to discuss concierge medicine, why Baltimore is perfect for premium service businesses, and the brutal truth about health accountability that most people don't want to hear.

10 Health Investments To Keep Busy Professionals on Their A Game

Most people treat health like car maintenance. Oil change when the light comes on. Theo breaks down how high performers actually invest in staying sharp, energized, and in the game long-term.

Here's what he recommends:

  • Hire a personal trainer for a year – Not to get swole. To learn how to actually move your body correctly. Most people go to the gym cold, do some chest presses, and leave. That's not how it works. Learn proper movement first.

  • Try different movement practices – Boxing, jujitsu, yoga. Find what makes your body work. Stretching and mobility matter more than you think.

  • Consider peptides for recovery – BPC 157 promotes healing, especially for joint injuries. If you've got a nagging issue that won't quit, this might be the answer.

  • NAD injections, not supplements – Helps with brain fog, energy, cellular reproduction, and focus. The injectable version kicks in way faster than pills. Especially helpful for people who think they have ADHD but were never properly diagnosed.

  • Invest in the right provider – You have best friends. You have lawyers. You have an accountant. Add a provider to that team. Someone who actually knows your health and can make real recommendations when you need to perform.

  • Date your provider – Seriously. See a few. Find one who gets you. Most people can't even open their medical records and tell you what tests they've had. That's a problem.

  • Find a good dentist – A lot of health issues start in your mouth. This isn't optional.

  • Get quality recovery tools – Hyperice makes great stuff. Your body needs to recover if you're going hard.

  • Sauna sessions (15-20 minutes a day) – Vastly increases cardiovascular health. Not a luxury. An investment.

  • Cold plunge – Same energy as the sauna. Your body adapts. You get stronger.

None of this is about waiting until something breaks. It's about building a system that keeps you operating at your best.

That's how the wealthy think about health. Not as expense. As infrastructure.
