I woke up this morning thinking about how much my family dynamic has changed.
My mom has 8 siblings. All still here.
When I was young, Thanksgiving meant 30 people packed in a West Baltimore row home. Secret Santa. Too much food.
My cousins and I had our own gift exchange. No jobs. $20-$25 budget. Just creativity and pure thoughtfulness.
That excitement of showing up for the people we care about made us feel like the grown-ups.
Then we grew up. The family dispersed. No more huge gatherings with everyone present.
The love is still there. But the opportunities to show that love decrease as time moves on.
Your business works the same way.
It's not the same today as it was when you started. Honestly, it might not be the same as it was last week with the way things are moving.
But here's what doesn't change: the opportunity to build something you own is there every day.
Today, while you're with family and friends, think about what you're actually building toward. Not just revenue. Not just hustle.
Are you building a business that works for you and your family? Doesn’t matter if they get it now. If you keep building, they will.
As for today: pour into the people you love. Tell them what you're grateful for. And if you're speaking from a place of gratitude, they'll know. They might just reciprocate the love you need to show up better for business tomorrow.
I'm thankful for each subscriber here. For trusting me with your time and attention.
Enjoy today if you celebrate.
Keep building,
~ Q
